Is The Intelligence Community Fed Up? Trump Blames Leaks On NSA, FBI

We Are Change

Over the course of the short month and a half that President Trump has been in office, we have seen several leaks come out of the White House that raise serious questions about the ongoing battles within the Intelligence Community.

Have we finally reached the tipping point? In recent weeks we have seen a supposedly illegitimate report on torture leaked, several phone call transcripts with foreign leaders that were incomplete, and now information on former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s conversation with a Russian ambassador which led to his resignation.

Now the mainstream media, specifically the New York Times, CNN and the Washington Post (run by CIA asset Jeff Bezos) have begun hyping up anonymous sources again saying that Trump’s aides had connections with senior Russian officials prior to his inauguration.

In a series of fervent tweets posted Wednesday morning, Trump attacked everyone from the mainstream media to the Intelligence Community, bashing the MSM for the coined term “fake news” and the IC for the recent leaks of his administration.

Trump also expressed the same sentiment shared by Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Tuesday about Russia. Spicer said Crimea was taken by the country, and the U.S. expects Russia to return the peninsula to Ukraine. Trump went a step further, writing, “Crimea was TAKEN by Russia during the Obama Administration. Was Obama too soft on Russia?”

On Tuesday, Trump asked, “Why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington?”

“Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc.?” he added, asking if these leaks would continue as his administration continues.

Then on Wednesday, he reiterated his disdain for the leaks. “The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by ‘intelligence’ like candy,” Trump wrote. “Very un-American!”

He added, “‘Information is being illegally given to the failing @NYTimes & @WashingtonPost by the Intelligence Community (NSA and FBI?).”

Julian Assange added to the speculation, noting on his Twitter account, that this is a “clear battle between an elected government and the deep state or the intelligence community.” The shadow government that is not elected by anyone, yet it assumes itself to be the “permanent” power.

As the international whistleblower coalition noted on Twitter, the main problem is that no one has seen any of this information, and the public deserves to see the evidence that has caused the accusations and Michael Flynn’s resignation.

There seems to be a clear agenda at play here; do you really hate Donald Trump enough to allow a few anonymous individuals, for whom you never voted, to overthrow the government like a Banana Republic?

Are these remanents of the Obama administration as Trump has suggested or finally pissed off federal workers who just want to ruin the U.S. government in general?

Never in history have there been so many leaks in the first weeks of a U.S. President’s administration, and the steam does not appear to be letting up anytime soon. Whether the information is completely accurate or not, the danger here is discerning between the two. What the mainstream media need to realize is that when a legitimate leak comes out they won’t have the support of the public, if they continue to push these alleged leaks from anonymous U.S. officials. It’s the classic story of the boy who cried “wolf,” except this time it’s the broadcasting networks that cried, “Trump” and “Russia.”
