Trump Claims The ‘Leaks Are Real,’ But The ‘News Is Fake’ In Rare Press Conference

We Are Change

President Donald Trump gave a special press conference on Thursday, where he bashed the mainstream media for producing “fake news” and stated that he “inherited a mess” from President Obama, claiming that his administration “is running like a fine-tuned machine.”

“I’m here again to take my message straight to the people,” Trump said. “As you know, our administration inherited many problems across government, and across the economy.”

“To be honest, I inherited a mess. It’s a mess,” he added. “At home, and abroad, a mess.”

“Jobs are pouring out of the country you see what’s going on with all of the companies leaving our country, going to Mexico and other places low pay, low wages, mass instability overseas, no matter where you look, the Middle East, a disaster. North Korea,” he continued.

“We’ll take care of it, folks,” he reassured his audience. “We are going to take care of it all. I just wanted to let you know, I inherited a mess.”

Trump further said, that while the leaks coming out of his administration are real, the news stories being written are generating “fake news.”

”The leaks are real,” Trump said. “The leaks are absolutely real. The news is fake because so much of the news is fake.

He added, “I don’t want classified information to get out to the public all this information gets put into The Washington Post and The New York Times.”

Trump then proceeded to address the media calling them liars and said that these “folks will not tell you the truth and will not treat the wonderful people of our country with the respect they deserve.”

Adding that “much of the media in Washington, D.C., along with New York, Los Angeles, in particular, speaks not for the people, but for the special interests.”

He also blamed reporters for the recent tension increase with Russia in the U.S. and Europe “The false, horrible, fake reporting makes it much harder to make a deal with Russia,” Trump said.

“The press has become so dishonest that if we don’t talk about it, we are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people, a tremendous disservice,” said Trump. “We have to talk about it. We have to find out what’s going on because the press, honestly, is out of control. The level of dishonesty is out of control,” Trump said.

Trump then falsely stated that Wikileaks has “never released classified information” when he was asked to explain his contradiction against leaks and leakers that have reportedly come from the intelligence community and his past praise of WikiLeaks.

Despite the fact that Wikileaks has released U.S. cables alone that were cited as classified and many other classified documents.

Trump then furthered the divide by dismissing recent GOP town hall protesters because “most of them are Democrats.”

”They are not the Republican people that our representatives represent,” Trump said.

Trump later insisted that the alternative to getting along with Russia could be “nuclear holocaust.”

When he was asked about his constant praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump responded talking about “Nuclear Holocaust”.

“Nuclear Holocaust would be like no other,” he said. “They’re a very powerful nuclear country, so are we,” Trump said speaking about Russia.
